Representative from Environment Canada to Address the International Symposium on Environmental Standards for Electronics 2007 (ISESE'07)

KANATA, ONTARIO — Ageus Solutions (www.ageussolutions.com) is pleased to announce the participation of Duncan Bury of Environment Canada in the upcoming International Symposium on Environmental Standards for Electronics 2007 (ISESE'07- www.isese07.com) being held on October 10th and 11th in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The focus of ISESE'07 will be on implementation and enforcement of WEEE-, RoHS- and other national e-waste like regulations, as well as packaging and battery policies.

ISESE'07 provides a forum for government representatives and interested parties from the electronics industry to discuss the implications of environmental regulations surrounding electronics. The program features presentations, discussions and case studies from key decision makers and experts on RoHS- and WEEE-type legislation from North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Duncan Bury is the Head of Product Policy for Environment Canada's Environmental Stewardship Branch in Ottawa, Canada. He is responsible for work in the areas of product-focused policies for pollution prevention, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and has worked for Environment Canada since 1995.

Mr. Bury chairs Canada's National Steering Committee for Electronics Recycling (NSCER) and has played a leading role in the development of electronics and other producer responsibility and product stewardship programs. He is the co-chair of Canada's bi-annual series of national EPR workshops and a member of the Canadian Council of Minister's of Environment (CCME) EPR Task Group.
