The International Symposium on Environmental Standards for Electronics 2007 (ISESE'07) Releases Preliminary Speakers List
KANATA, ONTARIO — Ageus Solutions (www.ageussolutions.com) is pleased to release the preliminary speakers list for the International Symposium on Environmental Standards for Electronics 2007 (ISESE'07- www.isese07.com) being held October 10th and 11th in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The program features presentations on RoHS- and WEEE-type legislation from North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific addressing the issues associated with implementation and enforcement of existing and emerging environmental legislation including the upcoming EuP and REACH requirements.
ISESE'07 will provide a forum for government representatives and interested parties from the electronics industry to discuss the implications of environmental regulations surrounding electronics. Conference presenters include:
- U.S. manufacturers of IT and medical equipment will share their experiences with the implementation of EU RoHS/WEEE and China RoHS. The use of testing to verify compliance will be also included in the conference discussions.
- Representatives from Environment Canada and Electronics Product Stewardship Canada will provide an overview of the evolving regulatory and management systems as well as the electronic product stewardship models in Canada.
- Presenters from the European Union RoHS committee will provide details on the EU RoHS Directive and the new guideline of the EU RoHS Competent Bodies Network on the scope of the directive and on the outcome of the first RoHS control campaign. Furthermore speakers form Germany and the UK will share their experiences with the successful implementation of the national systems.
- Presenters from Asia, in addition to the widely known activity in China, will be speaking on the upcoming Korean regulations affecting electronics producers and will provide a comparative overview with the national systems in Europe.
