Denis Pohl to Give Keynote Address at the International Symposium on Environmental Standards for Electronics 2007 (ISESE'07)

KANATA, ONTARIO — Ageus Solutions (www.ageussolutions.com) is pleased to announce that Denis Pohl will be sharing his insight and experience gained as a member of the EU Technical Adaptation Committee (TAC) on the implementation of RoHS and WEEE at the upcoming International Symposium on Environmental Standards for Electronics 2007 (ISESE'07- www.isese07.com) being held on October 10th and 11th in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

ISESE'07 provides a forum for government representatives and interested parties from the electronics industry to discuss the implications of environmental regulations surrounding electronics. The program features presentations, discussions and case studies from key decision makers and experts on RoHS-, WEEE- and REACH-type legislation from North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific addressing the issues associated with implementation and enforcement of existing and emerging environmental legislation.

Denis Pohl is a former Technical Adaptation Committee (TAC) member, who had the complex task of supporting the Commission for the implementation of the WEEE and RoHS Directives (interpretation of the legislation, decision on exemptions, coordination and exchange between Member States, etc.). Denis is currently head of the Product Policy Unit DG Environment, Belgian Federal Public Service Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment.
