Call for Abstracts
Extended submission deadline: May 7th, 2007
Ageus Solutions invites all persons interested in the issues of environmental regulations concerning electronics manufacturers to submit abstracts to be considered for presentation at the International Symposium on Environmental Standards for Electronics (ISESE'07). Engineers, environmental specialists, electronic equipment manufacturers, electronics industry representatives, state, local or federal officials, and others working in the field of compliance with WEEE, RoHS, China RoHS and other national e-waste regulations as well as packaging and battery directives are invited to share their experiences.

Guidelines for Submitting Abstracts
The deadline for abstract submission is April 10, 2007 May 7, 2007. The subject matter outlined in each successful abstract will be allocated a 25 minute time slot in the conference program followed by a 5 minute question and answer period. The abstracts shall be published in conference proceedings to be distributed at the conference. The presentations will be made available in electronic format.
Abstracts must be 200-300 words. Abstract and presentation titles should be short, but descriptive. Catchy titles, indicating benefits to the audience are encouraged. Please do not send supplemental materials (photos, articles or reports) with your abstract, these will not be seen by the program review committee.
Submit abstracts and all required information to ISESE'07 in one of the following ways:
- On-Line - Complete the submission form at Submit an Abstract
- E-Mail - Provide the following in the body of your email message:
- Full contact information for the primary author only,
- include email address, mailing address, affiliation, title, phone number and fax number (optional).
- Title of the abstract/presentation
- Preferred topic area (e.g. RoHS, WEEE, Enforcement, Implementation, etc.)
- List other conferences where the paper has been (or will be) presented.
- Attach your abstract
- E-mail to Dr Katalin Feszty.
- Full contact information for the primary author only,
Regardless of the method of submission, the primary author will receive an e-mailed acknowledgment of the receipt of the abstract.
Judging Procedures and Deadlines
All abstracts must be received by Ageus Solutions by April 10, 2007 May 7, 2007.
All submissions will be reviewed and approved for inclusion in ISESE'07 by the Conference Program Committee. Proposals constituting sales pitches for products or services will not be considered.
Primary authors will be notified of successful submissions on or near May 28, 2007.
Presentations will be published and distributed in an electronic CD-ROM format.
Final abstracts and presentations will be due by September 23, 2007. Acceptance of the invitation to present material at the conference constitutes agreement that the author(s) will register for the conference at the appropriate fee, attend the conference and present the paper in person.
Complete instructions for presentations will be provided upon notification of an abstract's acceptance.
Venue
The symposium will be held at the Ottawa Congress Centre which is located in the heart of Ottawa. Canada's Capital is a leading North American high technology hub, the country's fourth largest metropolitan area, and one of its most popular meeting and tourist destinations. Because major electronics companies have offices in the city it has become known as "Silicon Valley North."
