Symposium Overview
Ageus Solutions and Intertek are pleased to announce the 2007 International Symposium on Environmental Standards for Electronics (ISESE'07) to be held in Ottawa in the autumn of 2007.
The focus of the symposium is emerging international environmental requirements for manufacturers, distributors and retailers of electronics. ISESE'07 is intended to facilitate communication between the electronics industry, government regulators and enforcement agencies.
The ISESE conference will include presentations, case studies and discussions on the following international regulatory requirements:
Hazardous materials restrictions such as:
- EU RoHS, China RoHS, Korea RoHS, California SB20, REACH;
Electronics manufacturers' and distributors' obligations with regard to:
- Waste electronics including EU WEEE, China WOEPP, Korea WEEE, Japan Green (JGPSSI), US state-level recycling requirements, and Canadian provincial recycling requirements;
- Packaging and battery regulations.
The ISESE'07 program will feature presenters from Europe, North America and Asia Pacific including government representatives, key decision makers and experts speaking on:
- Corporate compliance strategies;
- Implementation of environmental regulations and the impacts on products and market space;
- Provision of end-of-life solutions for products;
- Product stewardship;
- Associated economic implications;
- And the development of electronic and electrical equipment with reduced environmental impact.
